The West Indies have secured a 2-0 series victory in a match that consistently ebbed and flowed at Sabina Park.
South Africa handed a debut to legspinner Nqaba Peter, and were made to bowl first for the second time in as many games. Much like the previous game, it was a rough start for the seamers, while the spinners kept things fairly tight.
Johnson Charles departed in the 4th over, but captain Brandon King and Kyle Mayers regularly found the boundary to keep the visitors on the back foot.
Peter struck twice in his first two overs to remove both dangermen, but the respite was rather short-lived, as cameos from Andre Fletcher and Romario Shepherd kept the ball rolling.
Roston Chase was the top-scorer for WI, with a brilliant 38-ball unbeaten 67. He began in a relatively sedate fashion, but upped the ante with aplomb as the innings went on. While SA took a flurry of wickets at the back end, WI had already crossed 200.
It was another imposing chase on the cards, and a fast start from openers Reeza Hendricks and Quinton de Kock set the tone. SA would score 81 runs in 29 balls, but left arm spinner Akeal Hosein got the better of de Kock to bring the hosts back in the contest.
And after Chase bowled Hendricks, the early momentum was all but gone. Matthew Breetzke struggled, and burgeoning starts from Ryan Rickelton and Rassie van der Dussen were cut short. Gudakesh Motie starred yet again, with another impressive 3-wicket haul.
