Warriors vs Knights
There was a lot of rain in the Eastern Cape, particularly East London this week, which meant this fixture was abandoned without a ball bowled. This meant that the Knights were able to register their first point of the One Day Cup campaign.
Cape Cobras vs Dolphins
A clinical bowling performance from the home side saw the visitors tumble from a commanding 45-0 after 10 overs to 101-7 after 31.4 overs.
A recovery mission by captain, Keshav Maharaj (50 not-out), saw the Dolphins post a total of 183 for 8 after 50 overs.
Maharaj delivered a match winning bowling performance, taking 4/24 in 10 overs to win the game for the Dolphins by 26 runs.
Knights vs Cape Cobras
Knights won their first game of the campaign against a strong Cobras outfit.
Zubayr Hamza (64 off 60) and Jonathan Bird (69 off 77) powered the Cobras to a competitive 226-5 after 42 overs.
Jacques Snyman’s 124 off 71 deliveries, which included ten fours and nine sixes, lead the Knights to a three-wicket-win (D/L).
Dolphins vs Warriors
The Warriors batted first at Pietermaritzburg and they posted 237-9 in their 50 overs.
Sine Qeshile (80 off 109) and Lesiba Ngoepe (53 off 71) stood-out for the Warriors and lead the team to 237-9.
An unbeaten century from Sarel Erwee saw the nights home with 24 balls remaining
