The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa announced the Interim Board of Cricket South Africa during a press conference held on Friday, 30 October 2020, which includes former CSA CEO Haroon Lorgat.
The Interim Board is a product of a consultative process involving the Department, the Members Council and the SA Cricketers Association.
The appointments have come after the resignations of the interim president of Cricket South Africa and a string of key board members.
It also comes a week after the announcement of the Proteas’ summer inbound tours.
The minister announced the following names who will join the interim board for an initial period of 3 months:
- Haroon Lorgat
- Omphile Ramela
- Chairperson Judge Zak Yaqoob,
- Stavros Nicolaou
- Andre Odendaal
- Judith February
- Andile Dawn Mbatha
- Xolani Vonya
- Nkeko Caroline Mampuru
