Left-arm spinning allrounder George Linde and opening batsman Janneman Malan are set to join the Pakistan Super League for the first time for the Multan Sultans and Islamabad United, respectively.

It’s an encouraging sign to see two relatively newer players at international level get a gig in a well-reputed T20 league. Both have enjoyed a fair amount of success for the Proteas so far, and getting the experience playing franchise cricket leading up to the T20 World Cup should be ideal.

With only a handful of bilateral series remaining, the IPL and the remainder of the PSL should be a pretty good progress report, too.

Both Malan and Linde have been the positives for South Africa over the course of the recent games against Pakistan, both home and away.

The PSL is set to resume on June 1.
