Beuran Hendricks took his maiden five-for as England set the Proteas 466 to win on day three of the fourth Test, writes Khalid Mohidin from the Wanderers.
It was a draining day for the Proteas and their fans. England were all over the hosts with both bat and ball.
It started with the bat. Despite Anrich Nortje achieving a special milestone by taking his maiden five-for, the visitors racked up 400 runs.
This was followed by an exquisite bowling display which saw the Proteas toppled for 183, despite a lone-wolf effort from Quinton de Kock.

The Proteas managed to avoid the follow-on, but still ended their innings 217 runs behind.
England were in a comfortable position as they drove their lead to 465.
The Proteas bowled them out for 248. Beuran Hendricks was the star with his maiden five-for on debut and finished with 5/64.
