The Knights beat the Lions and the Warriors beat the Cobras, as we wrap up Day 4 of the 5th Round of 4-Day Franchise Series fixtures.
KNIGHTS VS LIONS
The Lions ended the day on 43/2, trailing the Knights by 167 runs, but with the team fighting for survival, it wasn’t enough as the Knights clinched a comprehensive win. Dominic Hendricks was the top scorer for the Lions with 98.
Needing 18 to win, the Knights sealed a comprehensive 9-wicket win.
WARRIORS VS COBRAS
The Warriors put in a collective bowling effort to bowl out the Cobras on Day 4. They needed183 runs to win on the final day.
The Cobras were toppled over for 184 to hand the Warriors their second win of the series, by 80 runs. Janneman Malan was the top scorerer with 65.
Jon-Jon Smuts was the top bowler for the Warriors with 3/47, while Glenton Stuurman, Basheeru-Deen Walters and Mthiwekhaya Nabe picking up 2 wickets each.
TITANS VS DOLPHINS
The game in Centurion was suspended due to a positive Covid 19 case in the Dolphins camp.
