We wrap up day three of the fifth round of 4-Day Franchise series fixtures.
Warriors vs Dolphins
The Dolphins fought hard to survive on Day 3. They started the day on 157/6 and were skittles for 189. Jon-Jon Smuts ending with 6-50. This forced the follow on. They ended the day with 208/3 thanks to a ton from Grant Roelofsen. They will continue on day four trailing by 116.
Cobras vs Knights
The Knights started the day on 135/6. The Cobras proceeded to skittle them for 269, Wandile Makwetu’s 101 helped them to their total. LIzaad Williams was the chief destroyer ending with 4/93.
The Cobras went in to bat again and declared on 220/3 – Janneman Malan (51), David Bedingham (77*) and Jason Smith (41*) were the top scorers.
The Knights still trail the Cobras by a hefty total heading into day four.
Lions vs Titans
The Lions started the day on 180/6 and were bowled out for 287. The Titans made it to 146/4, trailing by 322 when bad light intervened. They will commence day four staring down the barrel of defeat. Wesley Marshall was the top scorer for the Titans with 53.
