During the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants opening press conference on Tuesday, the Giants announced that they will be boosted by Jason Roy’s availability throughout the tournament.
Jason Roy who has recently won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 with the England cricket team had a fantastic World Cup but he couldn’t transfer that form to the longer format of the game when they hosted Australia for the Ashes Series.
Thus, Roy was not included in the ongoing England tour of New Zealand which includes a T20I series and a Test series. This means that the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants will have the full services of Roy which will boost them for the tournament.
The Bay Giants take on Jozi Stars on Sunday, 10 October, at St.Georges Park in Port Elizabeth.
