Jacques Snyman’s 90 helped the Knights register their first win of the competition and handed the Warriors their third consecutive loss.

GBets Warriors vs Itec Knights: Knights won by 9 wickets

The Warriors won the toss and chose to bat first in a match they had to win. In both losses, they had 21-year-old Tristan Stubbs carry the team on his back with knocks that made SA Cricket fans take note of the talent and sheer strength of the young man.
Up against a winless Knights side, the Warriors batters struggled and looked to Stubbs to repeat his rescue missions, but yet again, it was in vain as the Warriors failed to defend 170 runs in conditions where 136-run totals were successfully defended earlier in the competition. Stubbs’ 65 was unmatched by any of the Warriors batters who all failed to reach scores above 30 runs as Gerald Coetzee, Jacques Snyman and Alfred Mothoa took the wickets for the Knights.

Jacques Snyman opened the batting in this game and he was alongside Christoffel Klijnhans who was trusted with the role over Raynard van Tonder who kept failing at the top of the order. The pair paced their innings brilliantly and cashed in on loose bowling from the Warriors bowlers.

Snyman smashed 90 off 52 deliveries which included 10 fours and 3 sixes, while Klijnhans breezed to a 54-ball 67 which included 7 fours and a six. The Knights won by 9 wickets.

Momentum Multiply Titans vs Hollywoodbets Dolphins: Titans won by 7 wickets

Day 7 started with a sizzling fixture between two big teams in SA domestic cricket but proceedings were brought to a halt due to rain and as a result 1 over was lost in the match. Four bowlers were allowed to bowl 4 overs with one other bowler being allowed to bowl three overs to make it 19 overs per innings.

Batting first, Dolphins struggled as the Titans’ fast bowler, Lizaad Williams, took advantage of the moisture from the pitch which was covered the whole night and the morning after. Williams’ brilliant lines and lengths with the new ball earned him three successive overs upfront and it paid off for the Titans as he took 1-15 in his first 3 overs. Aaron Phangiso backed Williams up with a brilliant spell where he gave nothing away to any of the Dolphins batters.

David Miller was the standout batter for Dolphins with an unbeaten 40-ball 57 runs. Dolphins posted 134-4 in their allotted 19 overs. In reply, Theunis de Bruyn (24 off 23) and Quinton de Kock (26 off 21) put on a 50-run opening stand and got the run-chase going for the Titans.

An unbeaten 46 from Dewald Brevis saw the Titans home with a 7-wicket victory with 15 balls to spare.
