We take a look at some of the players to look out for from the India side ahead of the T20I series which kicks off at 15:30 SAST on Thursday.
The Indian T20 team is coming off twelve consecutive wins.
Despite KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav’s injuries, India is still a formidable unit.
Hardik Pandya is coming off a fantastic IPL season, in which he led the Gujarat Titans to the tournament. He contributed with the bat as well, scoring over 400 runs, and his return to bowling will give India the perfect balance they are looking for in their middle order.
Having Pandya batting alongside Dinesh Karthik will strengthen India’s middle order, particularly seeing that Karthik struck at 192 for an entire season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Yuzvendra Chahal will also be a handful, given he was the IPL’s purple cap holder.
Additionally, emerging players such as Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan will be eager to prove their mettle on the international stage. Arshdeep Singh and Harshal Patel will be instrumental to India’s death bowling efforts.
