Dewald Brevis is confident that he will be ready for international cricket when the time comes for his call-up.
The 19-year-old recently spoke on Cricket Fanatics Magazine’s Daily Show in an exclusive interview about his time in the IPL and how he feels mentally after a hectic year of cricket.
His performances in the U19 World Cup, followed by his debut IPL season, have seen the youngster claim instant fame in a space of a couple of months, gaining fans all around the world at an alarming rate.

This has seen an increase of supporters calling for his immediate call-up to the South African white-ball sides, while some corners of the fan base believe that he should play some domestic cricket before he gets his senior Proteas cap.
When asked whether he feels ready for international cricket, Brevis answered confidently:
“I’ve always been ready for international cricket, it has been such a big dream [of mine]. Whenever that time is I’ll be ready, as always.
“I trust the process. I believe that the people in control have a plan and I trust in them. I’ll always be ready.”
Brevis also expressed his desire to be an all-format player saying that he can’t wait to test his skills in the red-ball game.
