Faf du Plessis addresses the media after his 58 off 40 balls in the 5-wicket defeat to England in the 1st T20I at Six Gun Grill Newlands.

Faf spoke about various issues that the Proteas had. But his response about Beuran Hendricks’ performance particularly stood out.
The 17th over was the major turning point, as Beuran Hendricks’ fourth over went for 28. But more importantly, Du Plessis encouraged him and the team to learn from their mistakes and bounce back.
“If one bowler goes for extra runs, at the end of the day that’s part of the game and we have to accept it, and I wouldn’t be too harsh about that. Tonight wasn’t his [Beuran’s] night – he’ll learn and come back stronger.”
