The Proteas bat first in the first Test against New Zealand. Sarel Erwee and Glenton Stuurman make their debuts and Zubayr Hamza is back in the lineup.
Sarel Erwee and Glenton Stuurman will become Proteas Test cap numbers 115 and 116 respectively as the pair make their debut against the BLACKCAPS at Hagley Oval on Thursday.
Erwee, who has toured with the Test team for more than a year, biding his time, replaces Keegan Petersen who missed the tour and Stuurman replaces Lungi Ngidi who has been ruled out of the first match with a back strain.
The BLACKCAPS won the toss and elected to field first.
