Titans Cricket has announced Rivash Gobind’s appointment as the new head coach of the Momentum Multiply Titans men’s team. Gobind will take the helm for a three-season tenure and will bring a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and a deep passion for the game.

A former professional cricketer for the Hollwoodbets Dolphins, Gobind has built an impressive coaching resume. He has served as an assistant coach for the Dolphins and the Dafabet Warriors and has held roles with several international teams, including the Proteas, Afghanistan, and Zimbabwe national sides. He is currently part of the coaching staff for the Durban Super Giants in the SA20 League.

Gobind’s credentials include a Level 4 coaching certificate and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), highlighting his leadership acumen.

Titans Cricket CEO, Dr Jacques Faul, welcomed the appointment, stating:

“We are delighted to welcome Rivash Gobind as the new head coach of the Momentum Multiply Titans. His experience and proven track record make him a strong fit for our high-performance environment. We look forward to the journey ahead under his leadership.”

Dr Faul also extended his appreciation to Richard das Neves, who served as interim head coach and has contributed significantly across various coaching roles:

“Richard has been outstanding. He brought structure and intellect to the team during a transitional period, and we are incredibly grateful for his efforts. He will continue to play a key role in our setup, with a new senior position to be announced shortly.”

Albie Morkel will continue as assistant coach. Dr Faul praised Morkel: “Albie has identified and developed talented players and played a big part in taking them to the next level; we are thankful that he continues in this role.”

In response to his appointment, Gobind expressed his enthusiasm: “It is an honour to be entrusted with the head coach role at an institution like the Titans, which has a proud history of excellence and player development. I’m excited for the challenge ahead and committed to building on the legacy of success.”
