Faf du Plessis scored a match-winning 96 off 64 balls to rescue the Royal Challengers Bangalore from 7/2 to 181/6 at the end of 20 overs. 

In the IPL fixture between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants, KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bowl.

LSG had RCB in serious trouble, dismissing Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell early. It was up to Faf du Plessis to stabilize the innings and ensure that RCB posted a respectable total. 

The game situation dictated how du Plessis batted, and he put on a masterclass, as he played pace and spin with equal finesse. In his knock of 96, he hit 11 boundaries and two sixes. Du Plessis’ running between the wickets was also exemplary, taking advantage of the larger parts of the ground. 

Du Plessis’ knock turned out to be a match-winning effort, as RCB won by 18 runs.
