Eddie Moore scored a magnificent century to set Western Province up for a dominant 48-run bonus point win over the AET Tuskers in their CSA T20 Challenge match at Newlands Stadium on Wednesday.
Moore scored 11 fours and four sixes for his maiden T20 ton of 101 off 58 balls, which helped his side post 208-6 in their 20 overs.
Wayne Parnell was also effective with the bat, coming in at No 3 instead of Jonathan Bird, he scored a 29-ball 46 in a 113-run second-wicket partnership with Moore.
The Tuskers only managed 160 in their reply, despite a well-played 60 off 46 balls from Kagiso Rapulana.
Western Province moved up to second on the log with the win, behind the unbeaten Warriors and above the Lions who played the late game on Wednesday. (See Log Here)
Lions vs Warriors
The Warriors extended their unbeaten run to 7 with a 2-run win against the Lions.
Andile Mogakane top scored with 73 off 51 and was aided by Jordan Hermann’s 32-ball 42.
They posted 173-4 in their 20 overs.
The Lions fell short of their chase, ending their 20 overs with 171-7.
Shimane Mothoa was the top wicket taker on the day with 3-35.
