Daryn Dupavillon’s tournament-best bowling figures and Jason Smith’s 60 blew the Warriors away as the Dolphins secured a semi-final spot in the CSA T20 Knock Out.

The Warriors and Dolphins game was arguably the most anticipated quarterfinal match of the CSA T20 Knockout Competition.

Anticipating a high scoring game, the Warriors opted to bat first in Kimberley. Dolphins fast bowler, Dupavillon, started off extremely well when he dismissed Wihan Lubbe with the very first ball of the match.

Boosting with confidence, the fast bowler continued bowling quick, registering 90 m/ph deliveries as he bowled Matthew Breetzke as well in his first over.

Dupavillion also added Jon-Jon Smuts and Sinethemba Qeshile to his hit list as he registered career-best figures of 4-18 in four overs.

Diego Rosier’s half-century, 51 (41 balls), provided some form of resistance as the Warriors posted 127 runs in their allotted overs.

Despite finding themselves stunned on 33-4 after 7 overs, the Dolphins recovered well. They ended up winning by six wickets thanks to a fighting knock from Jason Smith (60 off 41 balls) and Keegan Peterson (38 off 43 balls).
