Cricket South Africa (CSA) will honour the standout performers of the 2024/25 season at its annual CSA Awards on 31 July at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg.

This year’s ceremony, which will be broadcast live on SuperSport at 19:00, will celebrate the defining moments and outstanding contributions that shaped the past season, led by players and match officials who displayed excellence on the field.

It will also honour those whose dedication off the field continues to elevate the game and inspire future generations.

This past season was filled with landmark achievements across the national setup.

The Proteas Men reached their first-ever final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and secured a place in the ICC World Test Championship Final 2025, which they ultimately went on to win.

The Proteas Women also advanced to their second consecutive final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE. At youth level, the SA U19 Women made it to their maiden final of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 in Malaysia.

In the running for the Men’s Player of the Year award are Temba Bavuma, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Ryan Rickelton, and Kagiso Rabada. Meanwhile, Annerie Dercksen, Marizanne Kapp, Nonkululeko Mlaba, and Laura Wolvaardt are the contenders for the Women’s Player of the Year honour.

The gala event will also recognise achievements in domestic cricket during a season marked by success for the DP World Lions, who defended their T20 Challenge title and shared the 4-Day Series honours with the Momentum Multiply Titans. The Hollywoodbets Dolphins were crowned champions of the 1-Day Cup.

In the women’s domestic competitions, World Sports Betting Western Province retained their Hollywoodbets Pro20 title, while the DP World Lions were victorious in the Hollywoodbets Pro50 tournament.

The season also witnessed another successful edition of the Betway SA20, which continued to showcase the depth of T20 talent across the country.

The nominees were determined by an esteemed judging panel featuring renowned broadcaster Crystal Arnold, award-winning journalists Firdose Moonda and Khanyiso Tshwaku, SA U19 Convenor of Selectors Patrick Moroney and Proteas bowling great Vernon Philander. Statistical insights were once again provided by CSA Statistician Andrew Samson.

The Pathway Awards will take place in the morning and will recognise rising stars from age-group cricket, as well as the unsung heroes who have played a vital role in growing the game across South Africa.

CSA CEO Pholetsi Moseki said:

“The CSA Awards are a celebration of excellence, perseverance and the undeniable spirit of South African cricket. This past season, we witnessed history being made and barriers being broken, from our senior national teams reaching unprecedented global finals to our youth and domestic teams continuing to set the bar higher.

“We are proud to honour those who have inspired a nation and left an indelible mark on the game, and we look forward to celebrating these remarkable contributions on one of our sport’s most prestigious nights.”
