The Knights, Dolphins and Lions secured comprehensive victories in the latest round of the CSA 4-day series, with Bjorn Fortuin standing out with bat and ball.

At the Wanderers, Bjorn Fortuin put in a stellar all-round performance and scored 123 not out in the first innings for the home side and 65 in the second. He also picked up 9 wickets in the match.

Bjorn Fortuin top scored and the rest of the batters chipped in with vital runs – Malusi Siboto with 52, Mitchell van Buuren 46 and Dom Hendricks with 44 as Lions scored 323 all out.

West Province in reply posted 423 in their first innings and took a 100-run lead with Zubayr Hamza the star with a brilliant 129 and Kyle Verreynne (68), Mihlali Mpongwana (62) and Kyle Simmonds (40) all contributing.

Beuran Hendricks who claimed 5-59 also got to an incredible milestone of 350 wickets.

Lions scored 315 in their second innings thanks largely to Dom Hendricks (80) and Bjorn Fortuin to set WP 215 to win and they fall short by 28 runs courtesy of a Bjorn Fortuin 6-wicket haul and Sisanda Magala with 3-26.

A rampant Knights won their clash against the Warriors by a mammoth 161 runs at St George’s Park. Gihahn Cloete (93) and Patrick Kruger (81) led with the bat to steer the visitors to 422 all out in their first innings followed by Patrick Kruge who wreaked havoc to give his side a more than handy lead with 5-21 to bowl the Warriors out for a paltry 134.

Beyers Swanepoel, who picked up 5-82 in the first innings, continued his great spell and picked up 5-35 to bowl the Knights out for 157 and set the Warriors a daunting total of 445.

Matthew Breetzke continued his superb form with yet another hundred (111) and Rudi Second (77) went along nicely before they succumbed to 284 all out.

It was a rain-affected match in Durban, but a result was forced nevertheless. The Titans were skittled for 165 in their first innings with Corbin Bosch being the top scorer with 54. But it was Prenelan Subrayen (7-52) and JJ Smuts (3-58) who were breathing fire. They picked up 19 of the 20 wickets. Jason Smith (82) and JJ Smuts (42) led the way with the bat as the Dolphins scored 253, but once again it was Subrayen (4-45) and Smuts (5-67) who ran through them to dismiss the visitors for 138. The Dolphins just needed a meagre 50 runs for victory. They won by 7 wickets.
