Bjorn Fortuin will captain a 15-player Proteas squad for South Africa’s upcoming white-ball tour of Namibia, while Titans all-rounder Duan Jansen has earned his maiden national call-up.
South Africa will take part in a T20I Tri-series against Namibia and Zimbabwe in Windhoek from 28 August to 6 September, before remaining in Namibia for a historic three-match ODI series against the hosts from 9–13 September.
The ODI series will be the first-ever 50-over bilateral series between South Africa and Namibia.
Jansen’s inclusion comes after an impressive 2025/26 domestic campaign for the Momentum Multiply Titans. The 26-year-old was named Division 1 One Day Cup Player of the Year and helped the Titans lift the title with an unbeaten 61 against the DP World Lions in the final.
Titans teammate Eathan Bosch is the other uncapped T20I player included, while Connor Esterhuizen, Jordan Hermann and Nqobani Mokoena have received their maiden ODI call-ups.
Dewald Brevis, Tony de Zorzi and Kwena Maphaka are among the nationally contracted players included in the touring squad.
Head coach Shukri Conrad believes the tour provides another opportunity to expose players to international cricket while continuing preparations for the 2027 World Cup.
“We’ve selected one squad for both series as we feel we have all departments well covered and it provides a great opportunity for players to build on their international caps,” Conrad said.
“This tour has also opened the door for players who have performed domestically. Duan is one of those players. He is a quality all-rounder who has also shown great character for the Titans.”
Conrad also backed Fortuin to lead the group.
“Bjorn is an experienced player and proven leader who has successfully captained the Lions, and we have every confidence in his ability to lead this group.”

South Africa A will also be in action during August and September, hosting Bangladesh A for two four-day matches followed by three one-day matches.
Warriors seamer Matthew Boast and Boland batter Gavin Kaplan are among the new faces selected across the two squads.
Tshepo Ntuli, Meeka-eel Prince and Delano Potgieter are uncapped in the four-day squad, while Matthew de Villiers, Imraan Manack and Kyle Simmonds are the uncapped players included in the one-day group.
Proteas spinner Senuran Muthusamy returns to the four-day squad following his recovery from a left knee ligament injury.
Marques Ackerman will captain both SA A squads.
