Knights vs Titans.
The 21-year-old Raynard van Tonder resumed the day on 172* and went on to register a double ton with key contributions from Wandile Makwetu who fell one run short of a hundred and the skipper Pite van Biljon with 70 to put the home side in a commanding position.
Gerald Coetzee was unbeaten on 59* as the Knights declared their first innings with a mammoth total of 541/7.
The opening pair for the sky blues got starts but never pushed on, at the close of play on day 2. The Titans were reeling on 75/3 with a deficit of 466 runs with Heinrich Klaasen 8* and Junior Dala 0* to resume their proceedings on Wednesday morning.
Lions vs Dolphins
The Lions have a decent lead of 119 with 3 wickets in hand with key contributions from Kagiso Rapulana 66 and 40s from Reeza Hendricks and Dominic Hendricks. But all accolades of the day goes to Rassie van der Dussen who notched up a century.
He’s on 101* with Malusi Siboto on 10* and will resume on day three hoping for an even bigger lead.
Cobras vs Warriors.
With not a dark cloud and rain in sight, a full days play was on the cards. The Cobras kept things quiet and made scoring runs tough. The Warriors batsmen got starts and a couple of half-centuries but no one pushed on. Jon-Jon Smuts was left stranded on 75* as the Warriors first innings came to an end on 350.
The Cobras had the worst possible start with the bat for the home team with both Janneman Malan and Zubayr Hamza dismissed without scoring.
Matthew Kleinveldt continued his great form scoring another half-century alongside Jason Smith who was nearing his.
Stumps on day 2, Cobras 154/4 trailing by 196.
