We wrap up day two of the fifth round of 4-Day Franchise series fixtures, which saw Edward Moore score a double century.
Warriors vs Dolphins
It was a day dominated by Edward Moore, whose double century took the Warriors from 348-5 to 513 all out. His 228 came off 341 balls and included 15 fours and 6 sixes. The Warriors’ spin bowlers extended their side’s dominance with Jon-Jon Smuts (3/40) and Jade de Klerk (2/44) helped startle the Dolphins during their first innings, which saw them reduced to 157/6 by stumps on day two.
Cobras vs Knights
The Cobras took their total from 266-3 to 442/8. Jason Smith starred with an 83 and David Bedingham was removed on 137. Cobras stand-in skipper Lizaad Williams (3/39) then led his side’s dominance with the ball to reduce the Knights to 135/6 by stumps on day two.
Lions vs Titans
After scoring 301, thanks to a Wihan Lubbe ton, the Lions bowled the Titans out for 121. Eldred Hawken, playing his first game against his former team, took 5/39. The Lions then finished the day on 180/6 to extend their lead to 360. Nicky van den Bergh was the top scorer with 52 while Joshua Richards contributed with 43.
