Here is how the last round of the 4-Day Series can effect the relegation battle and who will play in the Final.

Final Qualification (Top 2 Teams)

  • Lions (1st, 110.14 points)
    • Win = Guaranteed place in the final.
    • Draw/Loss = Can still qualify, but risk being overtaken if others win with enough bonus points.
  • Titans (2nd, 94.10 points)
    • Win with good bonus points = Could overtake Lions if they don’t win.
    • Loss/Draw with few points = Risk missing out if Dolphins, WP, or Boland win big.
  • Dolphins (3rd, 91.50 points)
    • Win with strong bonus points = Could reach final if Lions or Titans slip.
    • Loss/Draw = Unlikely to qualify unless others also fail.
  • Western Province (4th, 88.84 points) & Boland (5th, 85.96 points)
    • Need big wins + Lions and Titans to lose/draw to have a chance.

Relegation Battle (Bottom 2 Teams)

  • Knights (6th, in relegation zone)
    • Must win against Lions to have any chance of avoiding relegation.
    • Even if they win, they need at least two of Titans, Dolphins, WP, or Boland to lose with few bonus points to reach 4th place.
  • Warriors (7th, also in relegation danger)
    • Must win big and hope the Dragons (above them) lose with few bonus points.
    • If Knights reach 4th place, Warriors will be relegated.
  • Dragons (Above Warriors, but not fully safe)
    • A loss with few bonus points could drop them below Warriors, leading to relegation.
  • Western Province (4th, but an unlikely relegation risk)
    • If they lose heavily and other results go against them, they could drop to 7th and be relegated.
